The GMT Brick Pallet made from the new type of GMT aerospace material, is produced by our company under the deep cooperation with Chinese Academy of Sciences Ningbo Institute of Materials Techonlogy and Engineering(NIMTE). The scientific design and advanced molding technology has made our GMT Brick Pallet performing outstanding characteristics. It effectively solves the problems caused by some other material pallets, like the rust and heavy problems of steel, warping and brittle problems of plastics, and crack and abrasive wear problems of woods and bamboos. And also it meets the 10 requirements as a pallet showing below.

Q01:  How about the quality of your GMT brick pallet? Do you have any quality standard?

GMT brick pallet does not have a national or industrial standard yet, but we have our own quality standards, see below technical index:

Q02:  What is GMT brick pallet?

GMT Brick pallet is made from GMT material, which has been widely used in automobile industry (such as bumper, motor base), construction industry (like formwork) and etc. GMT stands for glass mat reinforced thermoplastics, and this material has been named “the most environmental friendly material in 21stcentury” for its rigidity, toughness, and recyclable characteristics. Our GMT brick pallet made from this material can be as solid as reinforced concrete, because the fiber in the pallet is structured like reinforced concrete.

Q03:  Will GMT brick pallet deform or get brittle failure when in low or high temperatures?

GMT brick pallet will never get deformed in high temperature or get brittle failure in low temperature, because it is long fiber reinforced structured.

Q04:  How about the rigidity of GMT brick pallet? Will it bend?

Rigidity means the property of anti-bending. GMT brick pallet is similar to PVC brick pallet about this aspect; but it is stronger the common plastic brick pallet (rubbish pallet) and bamboo plywood pallet. Q05:  How about the toughness of our GMT brick pallet? Is it easy to be broken?

It is not easy to get broken. To have a try, you can use a big hammer to pound the pallet with big strength. It will differentiate ours with PVC brick pallets if you have also tried the PVC pallet on the same condition, and finally you will find ours is still good when PVC get broken. See below table:

Q06:  How heavy is it for GMT brick pallet?

Ours is 12 kg for an 18mm thick one, but it is 18 kg for PVC with the same specification, so ours is 1/3 lighter than PVC.

Q07:  Is it easy to be crushed when in the process of vibrating or be broken in moving?

No. Our experiment shows that, vibration has no effect on our pallet, and you can rest assured that it will not be crushed. Moreover, there is no broken phenomenon appearing when the pallet is locked on its moving along the iron chain. These all can be attributed to GMT strong physical characteristics. Below table shows the Bending Strength Remaining of different brick pallets after half a year using:

Q08:  Is it expensive for raw material of GMT brick pallet?

In recent market, Polypropylene material is about 12.5 yuan/kg, and glass fiber is almost 11 yuan/kg, but it is only 8 yuan/kg for PVC. Moreover, PVC pallet can be mixed into 50% of calcium carbonate when in producing, which is only 0.5 yuan/kg. But for GMT brick pallet, it can NOT be mixed with calcium carbonate, or it can not be molded. So, PVC pallet is cheaper according to its raw material.

Q09:  Why is the reason of that your GMT brick pallet is so cheap?

If using fresh material to make an 18mm thick pallet, then its price will be at least 180 yuan, but if using recycled raw material, it will become cheaper. That is the reason why it is cheap. Furthermore, we have the strong points to do it, because we are a professional company in making GMT formwork, and which is recyclable. 

Q10:  Why it looks like granite?

We all know that building formwork has many colors, let alone the recycled formworks. When manufacturing the GMT brick pallet, these different colors formworks are mixed together, and then it is molded under the pressure of 2000 metric tons, so it will be like granite when it is finished. No matter what it looks like, it has no influence for using. 

Q11:  Does any kind of plastic can be used as material for manufacturing GMT brick pallet?

No. Only the thermoplastic resin with the same melting point can be used as the material for producing GMT brick pallet, or the strength of pallet will NOT meet its requirement. GMT brick pallet rejects using of rubbish plastics, let alone to name it “rubbish pallet”.

Q12:  Does it come unglued or crack?

It won′t. GMT brick pallet is finished under 2000 metric tons press and high temperature of 200°C, so it will not come unglued and crack even in boiled waters, which is just 100°C.

Q13:  How many years can it be used?

Theoretically, GMT brick pallet is stronger than other pallets after many years using, especially for its toughness (impact resistance), have a review of below table.

Q14:  Is it abrasion resistance?

Yes, it is abrasion resistance. The surface hardness of our GMT brick pallet is 72d, which is similar with PVC pallet; but comparing with bamboo plywood pallet and the common plastic pallet, it is better. See below table:

Q15:  How about the cost performance of your GMT brick pallet?

It is more competitive than PVC pallet, common plastic pallet and plywood bamboo pallet. Of course, it is a truth that to know it is good or not only after the testing and your many years experience in doing this business. PVC pallet will break in winter, because there is a large part of calcium carbonate (stone powder); and the more content of it, the more brittle it will become. The common plastic pallet and bamboo plywood pallet is worse than PVC. See below comparing table.

Q16:  Can we return you 2 broken pallets in exchange for a good one? 

It seems to be technologically available from comparison with the current popular pallet, but it depends on actual situation too. We all know that different brick machines, operating environment and workman can exert a big impact on its life span. We no need do any exaggerated description of our products, for we are sure that you will continue select ours after your first usage. Although we can see that there are some factories asserting to exchange 1 for 1 in five or even six years, finally no one really did it, because it is not reasonable from the cost point.

Q17:  How to recycle the GMT brick pallet? and in what ways?

We will charge you processing fees when you return broken pallets and asking for new ones. Take the 18mm thick pallet for example; it will be no processing fees in the first year, but 40 yuan per square meter in the second year, 60 yuan per square meter in the third year, 80 yuan per square meter in the fourth year, and so forth. Moreover, it also can be calculated by weight.

Q18:  How about packing of your pallet when in transportation?

It will be baled 50 pieces a pile, using packing belt to tie up around to make sure it will not falling off and scattering.

Q19:  How about MOQ?

There is no MOQ limit for the specification what we have right now, but it should be 20000 pieces for new specifications, because we have to open new mold for new sizes. Current specification we have is shown below: 850*680*18mm, 850*850*18mm, 850*680*20mm, 850*850*20mm, 1080*850*20mm, 1080*680*20mm.

Q20:  How about lead time?

Generally, the lead time for our current available specification is at least 30 days after receiving deposits, but it should be at least 60 days for new sizes. And also we value quantity.
